HSBC Private Bank has sponsored Design Miami/, the most prominent forum for international design that brings commerce and culture together in a dynamic and stimulating setting, since 2006.
There are two fairs every year - in Basel, Switzerland each June and Miami, USA each December - that attract the world's top designers, gallerists and collectors and reflect HSBC Private Bank's dedication to innovative international design and our emphasis on the value of connections.

The launch of the Gstaad Festival Orchestra at HSBC Private Bank

The Gstaad Festival Orchestra (GFO) was launched on Friday 30 October at an event at HSBC Private Bank, the principal sponsor of the Menuhin Festival Gstaad since 2003. Acclaimed musician and conductor Maxim Vengerov who is widely regarded as one of the world's most dynamic artists and the Orchestra's Principal Conductor was special guest along with journalists and VIPs from the worlds of music and finance.
The Menuhin Festival Gstaad is a unique and prestigious musical event which was founded in 1957 by the famous violinist Lord Menuhin. From mid July to September each year the festival provides a beautiful setting for artistic development, creativity and enjoyment. It also provides a platform on which to promote young talented musicians of all religions and nationalities.
From 2010 the GFO will come together for the length of the Festival's concert programme, before embarking on a tour of Europe.
The launch event included a panel discussion with Vengerov the GFO's Principal Conductor, Christoph Müller Director of the kammerorchesterbasel and Hans-Ueli Tschanz from the Festival's sponsorship department, providing guests with an insight into the Festival, future programmes and participants and what visitors can expect to see and hear in 2010.
