This annual fashion week aims to promote Sri Lanka as a South Asian fashion destination and to strengthen ties between global retailers and local designers through interaction and exposure.
Putting the local fashion industry on the international stage, Colombo Fashion Week 2010 saw top designers from around the world, including Spain, India, Italy and Pakistan, showcase their collections alongside new and established local talent.The organisers strengthened international relationships through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Russian Fashion Week, Miami International Fashion Week and Malaysian Fashion Week.
HSBC and Colombo National Museum partnership
Ongoing restoration of six of the Museum's galleries

HSBC Sri Lanka and Maldives has worked with the Ministry of Cultural Affairs and National Heritage in Sri Lanka on this ongoing restoration project. HSBC has sponsored the refurbishment of six of the galleries at the Colombo National Museum.
The work has been carried out to make the exhibitions more accessible to visitors and enable them to better understand the history of Sri Lankan culture. With trilingual information panels, state-of-the-art lighting systems and beautiful display cabinets, visitors are able to experience how the country's culture and civilisation has evolved.
