Caravaggio Exhibition - Caravaggio: l'Immagine del Divino
HSBC Bank Malta sponsored this exhibition marking 400 years since Caravaggio came to Malta

Caravaggio's paintings depicting the divine element of his work were flown to Malta from major collections and galleries around Europe and the United States for an exhibition to mark the Italian painter's 400th anniversary since Caravagio came to Malta. Twelve paintings were displayed at the National Museum of Archaeology in Valetta.
The masterpieces include ‘Sacrifice of Isaac' and ‘St Francis in Ecstasy' both from the Piasecka-Johnson Collection, Princeton, New Jersey; ‘St John the Baptist' and ‘St Francis in Meditation' both from Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Antica in Rome.

Showcasing Maltese heritage from private collections

Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti (FPM) is an educational organisation created to advance and enrich the understanding of Maltese cultural heritage through exhibitions which display artifacts from private collections.
Through FPM, HSBC Bank Malta has contributed to the restoration of the historic house museum Palazzo Falson, one of the oldest buildings standing in Mdina, the old capital city of Malta and has also contributed to the restoration of a silver collection showcase and the renewable energy photovoltaic system installed on the Palazzo's roof.
