The Hong Kong Arts Festival brings some of the greatest international artists in the world to Hong Kong. HSBC sponsors the opening performance of this world famous festival. In 2007 this featured Yuri Simonouv and the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra while the 2008 performance will see Swan Lake performed by the Stuttgart Ballet.

The Pride of China

The Pride of China exhibition was one of the most important events organised by the Hong Kong SAR Government for the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong SAR. The exhibition, held at the Hong Kong Museum of Art, featured 32 of the most important Chinese paintings and calligraphy masterpieces from the Jin, Tang, Song and Yuan dynasties taken from the Palace Museum in Beijing. It was the first time that these national treasures were displayed outside mainland China. Highlights included Zhang Zedun's Along the River During the Qingming Festival of the Northern Song dynasty and Qian Xuan's Secluded Dwelling of the Yuan dynasty. The exhibition attracted close to 160,000 visitors over 44 days.
