This year we are celebrating the vibrancy of modern Brazil with a series of worldwide events and activities as part of our global Cultural Exchange programme. Following our focus on India in 2009 and China in 2008, it will provide insight into one of the world's rapidly growing economies.
Brazil's economic resilience and extraordinary cultural diversity makes it an exciting country on which to focus in 2010, especially as it becomes the subject of intense interest ahead of the World Cup in 2014 and the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
