DASH Project

Complementing the theme of the 2007 fair, Process to Possession, HSBC Private Bank initiated a new project supporting the emerging design talent of Miami's Design and Architecture Senior High, (DASH) the only school of its kind in the USA.

Senior students were challenged to design a chair fabricated from recycled aluminium and focusing on comfort, aesthetic appeal and ease of production from the environmentally sensitive material. Five chairs were then chosen by a panel including Miami property developer Craig Robins and Gonzalo A Acevedo, Senior Vice-President of the bank. The chairs were built and displayed at Design Miami/ in and around the HSBC Private Bank VIP Lounge and will be toured by the bank as part of its commitment to design.
