Following the launch of the project in 2007, HSBC Private Bank hosts students and teachers from Miami's renowned Design and Architecture Senior High (DASH) in Switzerland this June to experience Design Miami/ Basel and gain new perspectives on the international world of design.

Last year, HSBC Private Bank funded a design competition for senior DASH students to design a chair using recycled aluminium. From 40 entries a final five were selected to be taken from concept to prototype and were publicly displayed during Design Miami/.

During their stay they will also be taken on a specially arranged private tour of the famous Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein, Germany and also to ECAL (Advanced Studies of Art and Design) in Lausanne, Switzerland.
