CHINA EDUCATION NOW is an education programme supported by HSBC, which includes funding for workshops, free teaching aids, UK-wide competitions and grants.

The schools programme is endorsed by the British Council and the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust and developed with the UK Federation of Chinese Schools. It encourages understanding and involvement with Chinese culture and is designed to help students understand the important part that China will play on the world stage in the 21st century.

The Primary and Secondary schools programme includes free education packs that feature an introduction in Mandarin, contain ancient Chinese stories and a range of creative activities to celebrate Chinese New Year. Funding has also been allocated for schools to hold a range of exciting Chinese-themed workshops such as Chinese face-painting, calligraphy workshops, Beijing Opera lessons and Kung Fu training.
