Channel Islands
HSBC Private Bank has businesses in both Jersey and Guernsey and our cultural programme provides an opportunity to bring our employees from both islands together, to celebrate local culture and to encourage tourism to the islands.
We are principal sponsor of art and design commissions run through the International Artist in Residence Programme, set up by artist Eric Snell and Guernsey College Art and Design Department, which have included Antony Gormley's installation LOT at Castle Cornet in 2008/2009.

Why is HSBC involved?
As a part of its commitment to the Cultural Exchange Programme, HSBC Private Bank is dedicated to engaging with all of the cultures in which we do business. The Channel Islands have a rich history and culture which in many ways is distinct from the rest of the British Isles. Through this project we aim to explore that and develop our relationship with the island's community.
Overview
HSBC Private Bank is dedicated to playing an active role in helping develop the economic, cultural and educational aspects of the local communities in which we operate across the world.
In 2008 HSBC Private Bank in Guernsey initiated the HSBC Private Bank Commission, working with the local College of Further Education to bring art and design to everyone in Guernsey.
The project aims to surprise and inspire people by encouraging them to look again at places and people they think they know.
